Filaki is web-based jewelry platform built to support local artisans in Greece. Anastasia, our founder, remembers walking the ancient agora in Athens as a little girl and marveling at all the hand crafted jewelry that lined the tables of street vendors. Over the years, her love for fine crafted jewelry grew and she began collaborating with artisans she formed connections with during her visits to Greece.
This past summer, Anastasia traveled back to Greece to partner with a few carefully chosen artisans in order to create a curated assortment of her favorite pieces – ranging from dainty and effortless everyday staples to statement pieces.
The name “Filaki” translates to “little kiss” in Greek. Anastasia’s papou (grandfather in Greek) would always end their phone calls by sending a little “filaki” over the phone. This memory feels like a gift and will always remind her of him, which is why she named her platform after him.
